We talked about a collaboration between KYRS, Feast World Kitchen and Hope House. It’s called “A Feast of Hope: Nourishing Women, Strengthening Communities.”
For every $36 or more that you donate to KYRS during pledge week (NEXT WEEK!), Feast World Kitchen will donate a meal to Hope House.
I had KYRS Station Manager Michael Moon Bear, Carol Ellis – KYRS Board Member, Feast World Kitchen Head Chef Maisa Abudayha and Rae-Lynn Barden, Volunteers of America Director of marketing and communication on-hand to discuss the project and what it will mean to our community.
We talked about the work World Kitchen does for immigrants and refugees in our community and their delicious food. We discussed the life-saving work Hope House does for homeless women in our city and how folks can help!
Lastly, we talked about what gives everyone the strength to keep on keeping on.
