Playlist for Show: Out and About

I was supposed to have Pride Prez Matt Danielson on to talk about Pride Spokane stuff, but something came up in his life, he got sidetracked and I was ALONE!!! I kept looking to see if he had arrived and I kept messaging him but, alas, I stared into the void. The void whispered in a melodic tone that The Great Emptiness is known for…. “Play music. Play music. Play music.” So I did what I was told. I always have at least twenty minutes of music loaded up just in case my guest has a case of the rarified monosyllabic blues. I knew this would not be the case with Matt but, because of habit, I had loaded up the usual 20 minutes of emergency music.

BUT WAIT! I know what you are thinking. Hey, Captain DJ Maeve you have to come up with 47 minutes or so of content for your show. Twenty minutes of music won’t work. Well, pat yourself on the back, for you, dear listener and now you my dearest reader, are correct. So, while music played and I went about my DJ duties PSAing and what not, I embarked upon a whirlwind whimsical tour of my Apple Music account so as to harvest apropos songs. These songs were lovingly and hastily squeezed into the playlist, like so much playdough into a playdough factory – thoughtfully, with purpose and solemnity. And that was pretty much the show. Me playing music, apologizing for my having lost my guest and watching the minutes click down. Tick tock tick.
