Society is often an uncomfortable place– our thoughts, feelings, and ways of living all contribute to inner turmoil. Modern society does a poor job of preparing people for the adverse aspects of life, and we are often deprived of the tools that we could use to live better lives. Every Thursday from midnight to 1:00AM, host Jennifer tackles under-discussed topics and sensitive subjects like attachment, grief, and how to survive and thrive in the face of emotional adversity. Jennifer shares her own knowledge with listeners, and she also features lectures and meditations from gurus and spiritual teachers.

About
Meditating throughout the day is about bringing presence into every day activities and the quiet moments in between. […]
Some masters suggest that we will never have peace if we are identified. Revolution only happens inside. No outside factor or identity will bring about peace. […]
We are explosive and easily triggered because we are repressed and disconnected from ourselves. We must seek the root and let go of our stories. Self-awareness is a kind of liberation. Our responses to the world around us are formed in our past. Be suspicious of your initial response. Always pause. […]
We look at the world through a distorted lens. Thoughts cause suffering. Round and round it goes. Our attachments and the things we identify with are nooses around our necks. We project ourselves into future moments, creating an emotion that is yet to exist because that future never comes. The future is never present and […] […]
I discussed the importance of quieting the mind which doesn’t mean telling your racing thoughts to SHUT UP. Rather, quietly observe your thoughts without engaging. Eventually, they will be harder to hear. Look at and listen to the world around you without reacting. Simply be. […]
I discussed the reptilian brain in all of us that is all about tribalism, short term thinking and wishful thinking. We need to acknowledge and master that part of our brain just as we must do with our ego. In order to find peace, we must master ourselves. […]
Hyper tension. Response able. Dis ease. Our physical state is related to our emotional state. Many of our ailments are socially induced conditions. Dig deep to find your trauma. We are all addicts. We all grew up in a cult. We are all traumatized. Dig deep and heal yourself. […]
I read a long list of quotes about the ego. “Whenever you feel superior of inferior to anyone, that’s the ego in you.” – Eckhart Tolle “The ultimate aim of the ego is not to see something but to be something.” – Muhammad Iqbal “The ego seeks to divide and separate. Spirit seeks to unify […] […]
I discussed how I’m learning to be comfortable with emptiness and “not doing.” We need to rest without feeling guilty about it. And I’m learning to observe without reacting. […]
I discussed consciousness and how it doesn’t actually grow; it lives infinite within. What grows is our awareness of it. But how can you hear it calling when you talk too much, think too much, and fill your life with distractions? Slow down and be quiet. Be still and listen. […]
