Playlist for Show: Long Waves

I discuss the “childhood of mass movements” which typify the consciousness of much of the West’s citizenry and which emerges from the corporatist ideology, and the absolute immunity from prosecution of those in high places who commit crimes against humanity and in violation of US law. Meanwhile, citizens who try to expose these crimes are routinely punished as in the cases of Snowden, Assange, Kiriakou, and others.

Those who follow orders and those who originate these orders are free of prosecution and even of social responsibility, much less guilt. Thus, Hanna Arendt’s observations on the banality of evil are germane to understanding the trap of perverse rationalizations and social systems. To quote Jean Pierre Dupuy, “the more we communicate the way we do, the more we make the world a hellish place.”

The case of MSM denigrating the reporting of Sy Hersh on the Bin Laden operation in Pakistan demonstrates the group think that dominates political discussion in the US. ISIS and Al Qeada are openly supported by the US and Israel while these countries claim that we are waging a war on terror.

The discussion examines the particulars of foreign policy in Ukraine and the Middle East and demonstrates the dangerous implications for the survival of US governance as rogue elements in the USDOS such as Victoria Nuuland undermine the Secretary of State publicly. Some writers suggest that US elected officials have little real power and are controlled by a managerial class in government.

If such writers are correct, then treason is openly taking place in DC.

“Treason never profits and here’s the reason, for if treason profits, none dare call it treason.”
