Water. It’s essential all life-  human and beyond. Fresh water rivers provide an essential source of water to ecosystems and major cities alike all over the world. The Pacific Northwest is known for it’s many scenic lakes and rivers, and  these bodies of water represent an important piece of local culture and heritage as well as being an important resource for wildlife and human use. But in recent years, changing weather patterns, growing water usage and pollution increasingly threaten the health of these water systems. Today, Federica talks with Jerry White, executive Director of  the non-profit conservation group Spokane Riverkeepers to explore the issue and actions steps the community can take to protect these important resources.
