I interviewed Susan Hardie, Shaune Gardner, Rachae Thomas, Tom Heppler, Tim Linton and Brian Little to talk about their show Civic Theatre’s production of SWEAT.
We talked about how the expectations of what our jobs provide has changed recently. The community, stability and purpose provided by our employment have certainly eroded Perhaps even our sense of self has shifted, as relationships between family, work and identity have eroded to fit our evolving economic system.
Their play, SWEAT, is thought-provoking and seems to showcase a lot of these issues. It is also very entertaining! They performed three scenes from the play.
