Talked with Dahveed Bullis, Taylor Cummings, Gabriel Knesa from the play Minimum Wage. Dahveed wrote the play and is directing it. He has been working on it for a while and it is a hit! Gabe and Taylor did a scene from the play that was quite lovely. We talked about what it’s like to work a minimum wage job, and the experience we share in the “hospitality industry.” In comparing notes of our experiences, we realized that there are so many good people working to feed us in this world, not just with food but with sustenance for our souls. Creators out there doing the work because that’s what humans do for each other. A beautiful thing. A lovely conversation. I start to get choked up… again!
