Playlist for Show: Long Waves

The Russians have long  seen the US as rank amateurs who can get nothing done in the field of diplomacy. The Russians, according to one source, “openly express their total contempt for them, calling them stupid, incompetent, uneducated and their actions unlawful .” Recent events requiring the Russian to relinquish one of their consular buildings in the US on two days notice was seen by the Kremlin as “thuggery.” Meanwhile in the US, a trio of generals have effectively seized control of the military establishment in Washington. As a result, the “winning” of the Afghan war has been postponed. At the same time, the US has proposed more sanctions against Venezuela. These are not the actions of a just and noble state. The rest of the world is aware of this. Americans are starting to realize as well that the actions taken against others are indicative of the actions that will be taken against them.
