Playlist for Show: Long Waves

The stories of Russian interference in the US 2016 elections continue, and as before, there is no evidence to support the claims. Numerous reports alleging Russian activities in this regard end with disclaimers that there is no hard proof.  Yet stories about “troll farms” and “non-linear warfare”, a term that the Russians do not use, continue. Facebook, finding no evidence was asked to look again, and again, and finally said they had found what amounted to an infinitesimally small number of possible cases of Russian interference. The influence on the US election would have been very, very small. While it has become official goodthink to accept the allegations, the lock step with which the US media and political figures maintain the fiction is deeply disturbing and a threat to the credibility of news in general.
