Laura and I discussed an upcoming lecture by Tom Keefe, regarding the life and trials of David Sohappy. Sohappy became a symbol of indigenous people wanting to catch salmon, and his imprisonment led to the Bolt decision, giving tribal rights to the salmon catch. We also discussed the ongoing efforts to remove the Snake River dams, and a set of hearings that are taking place across the Columbia Basin
