Lance Sanderson
Lance Sanderson high school student at CBHS Memphis with a passion for content creation. I have a photography business, Artisans Image and a videography business, Memphis Productions. I plan on going to a northern college possibly in Chicago. I’m an Eagle Scout and was very involved in scouting before I came out. I hope that the conversation schools around the nation are engaging in now will lead to more acceptance.
Relation Ship in Latino Community
As we are still in the dawning of all states granting the legal right to marry for same sex couples, long term relationships are not a new phenomenon for many of us. Relationships have many pressures from family, to society, to work, and even our cultural heritage. OUTSpoken strives to tell the stories of all of us so we all may glean from the stories of others the aspects that might help us. We are excited to welcome Ricardo Serpa and Lou Rivera to our show as we discuss life, love, and being gay in the Latino culture!
Both Rick and I are Latino, coming from a Puerto Rican background. I was born in New Jersey and Rick was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Rick played baseball most of his life and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs while playing for Laredo Community College in Laredo, TX where we met almost 13 years ago. After graduating from Rutgers I attended graduate school at Temple University but left short of graduating for a great job opportunity with the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers. I then moved to Miami, FL, Reading, PA and Laredo, TX where I met Rick. From Laredo we moved to McAllen, TX, Beaumont, TX, Waco, TX and then to Spokane where we have lived for 3 years.
We love to cook Puerto Rican food and travel. We also love all sports and assisting the Latino community.
