As a listener and supporter of Thin Air Community Radio, you likely have been wondering why you have not heard about the Spring Fund Drive. The week before our fund drive was to begin, only a handful of cases of COVID-19 had been diagnosed in our region. But as the week unfolded, it became clear that its impact on our community would be greater than originally thought, and we made the decision to postpone our fund drive. This allowed us to deploy more resources to covering this crisis, without the interruption of fundraising breaks, and helping to ensure the safety of our volunteers and programmers.

That doesn’t mean your support isn’t vital. It just means that for now, we need to focus solely on our mission to serve the community in the best way we can. KYRS counts on the Spring Fund Drive to keep the station on the air. We still have monthly bills to pay, and our bank account has become seriously depleted.
