Playlist for Show: Out and About

Yesterday on Out and About, I played some Irish music that spanned the decades, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. In between songs, I talked about the social messages behind the music, some of the history of Irish social movements and how those movements came to America, largely in the IWW and in a religion that encouraged the social justice called for in the Gospels (the Gospels contain the teachings of Jesus – the guy that today’s ignoramus “Christian” “Nationalists” like to ignore). Somebody was calling in to the show and I tried answering the phone but couldn’t get it to pick up. With my hearing loss, I probably would have set “WHAT!?!?!” a lot, had I been able to answer, and maybe the caller should be grateful that I couldn’t pick up.
