I played some clips from this October’s live broadcast of the No Kings Rally (from the second hour of the live broadcast). I also played some Christmas music and other revolutionary anti-fascist, woke music. I added some commentary, the gist of which was that in this time where many people will be celebrating a person who changed people’s lives through the power of story, it is no surprise that we revisit favorite stories of the season, movies and TV shows which celebrate goodness, kindness, courage, honor and hope – all the things the MAGA cult call “Woke, “DEI,” “Anti-fascist,” etc. With this in mind, it is important to note that we are in our own stories in the making. Are we Mr. Potter are we the reformed person of Scrooge, etc.? People who participated in the No Kings event have a great chapter in their life story, a beautiful thing.
