Did you know that Spokane has a thriving Haitian community? Neither did I! But thanks to Katia Jasmin, and her dad, Luc from Creole Resources, I was enlightened to this fact. I had so many questions about what it is like to be a refugee from Haiti coming to Spokane, what kind of stories they bring with them, SNOW, etc. I also found out that there will be Haitian restaurant coming to Spokane in the near future. My questions about voodoo and zombies were even answered. I am really looking forward to having these two back on the show ANYTIME!!! Simply, a lovely time.
