This show addressed the Dave Chappelle stand-up comedy program “The Closer.” I broke it down into three parts; 1. Background, 2. Watching the Show, 3. Conclusion. The sections were augmented with comedy routines/songs from various artists. Maria Bamford’s “War Horse” led things off as a sort of warning placard that this show could be a “War Horse” to some listeners, as I would be just doing a monologue for the hour.
I did get a quote wrong at the end – “Are you fighting for freedom or are you fighting for power?” I believe the quote should have been “Are you fighting for freedom or are you fighting for privilege?”
