How You Listen, How We Grow

Tell us how you tune in to Thin Air, we’d love to know.

Do you listen on your morning commute? While making art or cooking dinner? Maybe you stream us online from another city or tune in from your porch on a Saturday afternoon.

However you listen, you’re part of what keeps community radio alive, and we want to hear your story.

It’s quick and easy, just click here and share how and when you listen to KYRS, what keeps you coming back, or what your listening ritual looks like. Please include your name and where you listen from.

Not yet a KYRS member? You can join today and be part of the movement that keeps independent voices on the air!! Click here to join.

Earth Matters Now October 21 2025

Laura and Mike did stories on the only lake that drains into both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, comets in the sky this week, a PFAS survey in Washington, ancient scary figures, the carbon hoofprint of meat consumption, lawsuits to protect wolves and stop grazing in NE Washington,  the Coeur d’Alene Tribe gaining land back, a rewilding area in the Netherlands, and problems with carbon offsets.  We did three station ID’s, the first one at noon.
