About the Show

Join host Ry the Y as he battles with his Gen Z co-hosts, Zakris and Ezekiel. The three friends, alongside guests from the community, grapple with generational divides — both the silly and the seemingly irreconcilable. Each week they guide each other through the impenetrable maze of online culture, spitball creative policy solutions to the great issues of our age, and take turns badgering each other and teaming up against boomers, all while asking:

Are we any different? Can we afford not to be?

Ry the Y welcomes back the newly Whitworth-graduated twin-Z’s, inaugurating a fresh summer of Generational Warfare. Ryan, Zakris, and Ezekiel dig into a some remarkable reporting on a new social network called BeReal, using it as a springboard to explore a range of other now-defunct social networks. They also spend some time raging against Ginny and Clarence Thomas. […]
Ryan, Ezekiel, and Zakris identify a quintessential Generational Warfare topic, a practice that has been commonplace throughout human history, yet seems plainly unnecessary anymore and astonishingly cruel: dog breeding. They also discuss some wonderful old voice acting work by President Zelensky, and mourn the disastrous design of American cities. […]
Ryan, Ezekiel, and Zakris respond to Gen-X frustrations with not getting credit for the stars of the Super Bowl half time show. Then they duke it out over gas taxes, and consider the generational divides over cars and driving. […]
