Welcome to A Shot of Jazz, where we explore the history of jazz from it’s start in the 1890’s through the 1940’s on various media. The music will come from Wax and Plated Cylinders, Piano Rolls, Edison records, 7 and 10 inch disks, and 78’s.

The exploration will include the jazz genres of Marches, Cakewalks, Ragtime, The Blues, Dixieland, Boogie Woogie, Big Band, Swing, early BeBop, and Early Folk Jazz.
