The show begins with excerpts of an interview with Michael Hudson, economist, who explains how the economic system has been rigged in a structural way by the ideologues who control the banks and the Federal Economy. Among the problems is a complete lack of and knowledge or understanding of the history of economics. This divorces theory from reality and allows the most fantastical and absurd policies to be implemented to the detriment of all.

Related but different is the waste and fraud in the US military expenditures in both deployments and projects. From Nimitz class carriers to the Aegis fire system to the F35 JSF airplane. A lack of oversight together with too much power being allowed to devolve into the military system allow the war establishment to get what they ask for whether or not it is needed or wise.

This lack of oversight and reality-based thinking created the fiasco in Libya led by inept planning of Ms. Clinton.
