The guest we had today was a part of series of interviews exploring every day individuals who have or are experiencing poverty. Jane is an SCC student trying to make ends meet with the grants that were available for her. Her endeavors with school, family life, and having to look for a job have all complicated her ability to get on her feet and out of poverty. We had discussed aspects such as how to apply for the FAFSA–the Government form that determines what financial aid students are eligible for–and her journey to getting into a community college in Spokane, WA.
