Playlist for Show: SOS-Spokane

Paul and James engaged in a conversation about the ongoing federal government shutdown. Emphasis was put on its impact on the lives of Americans and the history behind these shutdowns. Some of many harms the shutdown has and may well do to families and individuals across the country were highlighted. Amongst the many services already being denied or at risk of being denied: paychecks for federal workers, subcontractors and the affected ancillary workforce, essential services to Native Americans, tax returns, immigration courts, food stamps and food safety, HUD subsidized housing, cyber security, science funding, airport security, National Park closings, and a host of other suspended federal supports, subsidies and services.
