Veterans For Peace members George Taylor and Hollis Higgins talked about their organization’s quilt project. Next up was Jeanette Wallice. Jeanette once walked the entire length of this country, from Seattle to Washington D.C., a walk for democracy. She is presently protesting BNSF’s failure to pay out retirement benefits outside the Federal Courthouse here in Spokane. We conversed about the closure of the local Better Business Bureau, new local building projections, and the ongoing housing and homeless problems.
