Todays guest, Sandra Williams, is the editor and publisher of The Black Lens (online at: blacklesnsnews.com), Spokane’s monthly newspaper focusing on news, history, issues, analysis, the arts, and opinion from Black perspectives. Our discussion ranged from Sandy’s involvement in various public media, to the history of some well known and less well known Black voices, to local and national issues—including systemic, government mandated and institutional racism, economic fairness, media portrayals, housing discrimination, educational opportunity, our criminal justice system, and what’s currently being or not being done to address myriad historic inequities.
