In particular, the expertise of economists and foreign policy hacks in US government is grounded in and influenced by ideological thinking such that they are incapable of new, constructive thought or actions that are genuinely responsive to the world. Poisoned water, US actions in Libya (past and present) and other failures of thought are examined.
