Laura and Mike interviewed Mitch Friedman, the Executive Director of Conservation Northwest.  We asked Mitch questions about his new book, Conservation Confidential.   We discussed his early days of activism and his shift to collaboration, and he gave his views on working with rural communities and being successful at wildlife protection.  Mitch discussed his efforts at returning wildlife, such as lynx and fisher, to Washington State, as well as challenges with wolf recovery and ranchers.  We did three station ID’s, the first at 11:55 AM.
