Our guest, Brooke Matson is a national award winning poet and executive director of a successful non-profit organization (Spark Central). Brooke shared how her passion, inspiration and talent led to successful stints as a public school teacher, poet, and executive leader. Her mission is to break barriers to creativity in for all people in the Spokane community but especially those underserved populations who would not ordinarily have access to the tools and activities to unlock individual creativity that lives in all of us. She makes salient points about her creative process and some concerns about the way public education is/could stifle creativity in students.
