About the Show

Science Hour

Join Lauren each Tuesday at 1:00 for the Science Hour discussing the importance of science and how it affects our daily lives. There will frequently be an environmental spin on how scientific innovations can help our world grow in a sustainable way and the use of science to show how people are inherently connected to the earth through resources. The show is informative and thought provoking, and includes interviews with experts in their field. Science is a fundamental, fascinating building block of our society that is largely undervalued today. Without science, there is no innovation, and therefore no real progress. We need to spark curiosity in people’s minds to help in the evolution of our society.

Lauren has a bachelors of geological, environmental engineering and a Master’s in exploration geochemistry. She has about 10 years of experience working as a geologist, largely in isolated regions of the world, such as the Canadian and US arctic, and the Australian Outback. She loves learning about different aspects of science, and hopes you enjoy hearing about them!
