GALANT AU CHAN, MD INFECTIOUS DISEASE FELLOW UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON MEDICAL CENTER
I graduated from Harvard University in 2002 with a degree in molecular and cellular biology and then attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. I completed my residency training at Columbia University Medical Center in NYC and am a board certified physician in internal medicine. I am currently a Fellow in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington, with a specific interest in HIV prevention. In this capacity, I am working with Dr. Matthew Golden, director of the Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) HIV/STD Control Program on the provision of PrEP services via the PHSKC STD clinic and evaluation of this clinic. I also see patients for counseling on HIV prevention and initiation of PrEP at the Gay City Health Project, a local community-based organization in Seattle that focuses on promoting wellness in the LGBT community, connecting people to resources and fostering arts and the community. In addition, I also provide medical care to HIV-infected individuals at the HIV Clinic based at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle
