The Colville Confederated Tribes are considering an amendment to a code allowing sales, distribution and possession of packaged spirits on tribal-owned properties according to the Tribal Tribune. Public comment has opened on the amendment through August 20th. The Colville Tribal Business Council will reconvene in September for a second meeting. If the public agrees and the code is changed, the Colville Tribal Liquor Administrator will have the authority to regulate liquor sales on the reservation.
