Senior Art Night for Whitworth University

Whitworth University Art Department and the university’s Bryan Oliver Gallery, host the 2019 Senior Art Exhibition.
The exhibit will showcase the talented works of the University’s graduating art and graphic design majors.
Opening Reception will take place on April 9th 5pm to 7pm, at Lied Center for the Visual Arts. Closing Reception will be on May 18th 11 am til noon at the same location. This event is free admission and open to the public.

Environmental Awareness Month is April

Environmental awareness has become part of local spring events.
The month of April has brought diversity to artists of color, and now local tree population. As the month draws to a close. Spokane City council agreed that increase in tree species was needed to add to value to environmental health.

The goal is to increase tree population 30 percent by the year 2050. On April 22nd council held a unanimous motion to update the Urban Forestry Program.
