FALL ON-AIR FUND DRIVE SUCCESS!

With your support we have more than $19,000 in pledges from our fall on-air fund drive! Thank you so much for your contribution to keep KYRS on-the-air!

If you have not yet sent in your donation, please mail it to KYRS, 35 W. Main, Suite 340, Spokane, WA 99201 or Click Here to donate now using our secure server.

With strong support from people like you, KYRS continues to expand and bring you more exciting and fresh programs:
- "InnerTribal Beat" has expanded to 2 hours each Tuesday at 2PM
- "Concrete Rodeo" featuring unique, Alternative Country/Americana Fridays 6PM
- "Earth's Ear" non-fiction sustainability & natural history readings Wednesdays at 7:30AM
- "Readymade Radio" KYRS' new Arts program Thursdays at 3PM
- "Dragonflies on Thin Air" the new kids program Sundays at 9AM
- "Seasoned Players" entertaining radio produced by local seniors Sundays at 5PM
- "Fuzz" featuring a mix of Jazz, Funk and Afrobeat Tuesdays at 8PM

KYRS is also expanding its news! We recently began roadcasting community news each weekday morning just before Jim Hightower's commentaries at 7:45 AM. And of course you may have heard by now that we hope to build the full-power, non-commercial station in 2010, nearly doubling our listening area with at least 6,500 watts!

But we can't continue without your support. It costs about $100,000 each year to sustain operations here at KYRS. Programming and engineering, equipment repairs, upgrades, and tower costs all add up.

KYRS doesn't have commercial advertisers - we are commercial-free! Listener-supporters, like you, make up 80% of our income. Right now, as more and more big corporations gobble up the airwaves and other media outlets, and newspapers around the country are going out-of-business, independent community radio is urgently needed. Everyone needs free and open access to information to inform their lives and to make critical decisions. And everyone loves the inspiration of music and art.

Not everyone enjoys the Wilderness, or even goes there often, but we're willing to support it with our contributions just to know that wild places still exist. Thin Air Community Radio is like the Wilderness. Some of you enjoy it every day, maybe tuning in religiously to "Democracy Now" or "The Persian Hour." And some may not listen much at all, but support the station just the same, because like you, they understand the importance of independent media and community radio.

Please consider a donation of $35, $50, or $100 towards our Fall On-Air Fund Drive.

Help bring more local and diverse music and perspectives to the Spokane airwaves. Your support guarantees exciting, eclectic music, and in-depth, investigative reporting and news heard nowhere else in Spokane.

Volunteers from the community are building Thin Air Radio into a vital community resource by providing airtime to diverse perspectives, local voices, and local talent. With your help we can continue build community and work for justice.

Pledge today, and make a positive difference right here in your own community.

Please call now with your pledge of support for KYRS: 747-3012 or click here to donate online

We depend on you, the listener, to keep KYRS strong.

Thank you!
