KYRS would like to thank the Smith-Barbieri Progressive Fund, A Charitable Foundation, for its support of KYRS Local News and The Science of Poverty. 

The Science Of Poverty is locally produced every Saturday at 4:00 PM. The program features frank conversations about poverty and homelessness, and the issues that surround them. The program has covered: the Sit and Lie law, being vulnerable to forced trafficking and violence, being forced into poverty by rising costs of schooling, rent, gas, etc.; mental health factors; drugs, alcohol, and other addictions.

KYRS Local News is heard every Thursday at 4:15 and repeating on Fridays at the same time. The program has recently covered critical local topics such as the Sick and Safe Leave Measure, the Mt. Spokane Expansion, ethics complaints against the Mayor, police chief hiring, Washington State education funding, Washington Human Rights Commission efforts to support transgender citizens, and much more.



KYRS also wishes to thank Community Building Foundation for its support of Earth Matters Now, heard Tuesdays at noon, and KYRS Local News heard Thursdays and Fridays at 4:00PM
